  1. After seeing some players returning to Runescape from back in the day, and I figured this would be a good time to share your history, stories, or your favorite memories! Mine would have to be to when I started back in 2003, around that time I use to get on and play with my cousins, and we'd play for hours and hours, not worrying about xp grinding or anything, probably the most enjoyable time in Runescape for me.

  2. I started playing Runescape in the summer of 2002 as a youngster, I remember spending every waking hour playing this game and having an absolute blast doing it. Playing with my friends from school because back then it's what everyone was playing. I remember loving Runescape so much that I used to "fake sick" so I didn't have to go to school allowing me to stay home and play more Runescape. It is now 2018 and I have re ignited my love for the game that stole many hours of my childhood, and man does it ever feel good to be back!

  4. Frequently Asked Questions: "How can I become a clan staff member?" Our Clan Staff positions are Invite-only, meaning we do not accept applications or requests for rank. Instead, we select new staff members through internal discussions based on the actual need for the position (whether or not we're shorthanded) and our observations of individuals' behavior. This mostly includes your behavior in-game, but if you have a RuneHQ Forum account, we consider that too. That said, if you are wanting the best chance of becoming a staff member, being on your best behavior and relatively talkative in the clan chat is an excellent start. But don't bother sucking up to us for rank, we can tell when you're doing that. Just be yourself! That's the "you" we want to see. "Are there any requirements such as age or rank to become a staff member?" In a word, no. We have no age requirements. If you're old enough to play RuneScape (13), you can be a staff member for this clan. "Why can only those who have signed the RuneHQ Staff form be part of the clan's high council?" We would like to emphasize that the RuneHQ clan is connected to RuneHQ. The reasoning behind the staff form is based on the fact that we have to be able to trust those to whom we give abilities which could seriously inflict damage to the clan. Everyone in the clan is constantly monitored by their superiors to make sure nothing goes wrong. A clan member or clan moderador might only get demodded or banned when they intentionally hurt the clan. RuneHQ Clan Staff who have signed the Staff form on the contrary are also monitored by the owners of the site and can receive an even bigger punishment for hurting the clan. Not only might they get demodded/banned in the clan, but they also risk getting sued in court in real life by the owners of the RuneHQ Site for intentionally hurting the clan. To be promoted from to the high council rank, you (if you're 18+) or your parents (if you're -18) must sign a form and give the owners of RuneHQ information about who you are in the real world. "Which ranks are allowed to lock/unlock skill plots?" Any staff member with the rank of Coordinator or higher has the ability to lock and unlock skill plots in the Clan Citadel when needed. If you feel that any information in this topic is incorrect/missing or you have another FAQ you feel should be added, then send a PM here on the forum to Alfawarlord and Katalex.

  5. Discord: For events or just a chat, we use the RuneHQ Discord server. You can join as a guest, but if you want a Runehq rank along with access to more areas or perks, you will need to register an account. Discord: https://discord.gg/D3rGeRb Inactivity Cleanouts: On a monthly basis, we have cleanouts be based on not one's total clan xp but one's activity in the game. On the first day of every month inactive clanmates will be removed. - Inactivity is determined on whether or not one has gained 100K XP in the 3 months prior to the day of the cleanout. This requirement may be increased/decreased in the future. - Cleanouts are not restricted to a certain rank. Any rank, from deputy owner to recruit risk getting removed for inactivity. Inactive for a long time? Some of you may have go inactive or less active for several months (school/work...) and do not want to be removed during cleanouts. If this applies to you, then pm your rs name along with a reason and the suspected duration of your inactivity to Alfawarlord and Katalex Clan Statistics: While in the clan, every xp you get is considered clan xp. Everyone can check on their clan xp under the "Clanmates" tab on our RuneHQ Clan Page on the RS site. Want to know when you joined the clan? Then the Runepixels website might be helpful. Currently it only displays join dates for those that joined the clan since 2022 Clan XP: http://services.runescape.com/m=clan-hiscores/members.ws?clanName=RuneHQ Runeclan: http://www.runeclan.com/clan/RuneHQ Clan Ban List: Many players have been banned from the clan since its creation on the clan in april 2011. Sadly the banlist has a limit of 100 bans and staff have to keep adding new bans. The number of free slots has been shrinking rapidly lately. That's why we have decided to remove many of the old bans to open up some space. We sincerely hope that these players have learned from their mistakes. However some of will stay permanently banned because what they did is unforgivable. With this we also want to introduce temporarily bans. When someone made it onto the ban list in the past they stayed on that list most of the time. Most players will now be banned for a week or more depending on the seriousness of the offense. Perm bans will still be handed out if needed. From now on we will give you who aren't clan staff some more insight into bans. Each banned player will be listed here along with the date of the ban, the duration of the ban and the reason of banning. We also are making public how long a ban would last if you were to break a certain rule. Bad language, minor trolling, disrespect to clanmates - 1-2 week ban Serious trolling, Disrespect towards staff - 1 month ban RWT, Scamming, or other Rs rules - 6 month ban Note: Your RuneHQ Clan ban has no effect on your RuneHQ forum account. If you are banned from the clan, you will still be able to use your RuneHQ forum account. In case Clan Staff isn't online: At times no clan staff member may be online to deal with the guests/clanmembers breaking the rules. If this happens take a screenshot of the chat and send it to Alfawarlord. That way a Clan Staff member can deal with the player as soon as they get on. Clan Citadel: At the present time, our citadel has been maxed out, meaning we have the highest tier items in every area. As such, we don't have anything to upgrade unless more Tiers or customizations are released. That said, however, we do still have to pay for the upkeep, and that requires help from you clanmates. The faster we reach the required totals for upkeep, the sooner all the plots will unlock, meaning everyone can skill where they want. However, if you do notice that we may come up short in a specific goal, we would certainly appreciate it if you would help there. If we only need wood at the end of the week, and you haven't capped yet but have a 99 in woodcutting, please don't think only about yourself, but make an effort for the clan. The Clan Citadel's build tick occurs every Wednesday at approximately 6:15pm GMT. That is when any upgrades are applied and each player's weekly resource cap resets. For more information on Clan Citadels, check out our Clan Citadel guide. Clan Avatar: A recent update has given every clanmember the ability to summon their own personal clan avatar. This update removed the requirement of the "avatar warden" rank to be able to summon one. You can activate your weekly avatar buff at your Avatar Control Stone, near your Avatar Habitat. Once activated you can choose between 2 buffs: an XP boost or a Skill plot bonus. The XP boosts starts at 3%. Every Fealty rank increases this boost by another 1%. At Fealty rank 3 the clan avatar gives you an XP boost of 6%. The Skill Plot Bonus increases the amount of clan resources you gained from a skill plot by 50%. You can switch between buffs and renew them at any time. You do not need to have an Avatar out to benefit from either of these buffs. However, if you wish you can still summon the Avatar as a pet through the Follower Pets tab if your buff is active.

  7. Clan Code of Conduct: As a member of this clan, your behavior affects the image of RuneHQ in the community. Because of this, we ask that you follow these rules in your interactions with other players both inside and outside of the clan chat. It is YOUR responsibility to remain up-to-date on the rules of this clan. 1. All clan members are to abide by the Rules of RuneScape. No exceptions! As we are all players of this game which is run by Jagex Ltd., we are hereby bound to their rules of conduct and we take this very seriously. Failure to abide by these rules is grounds for your immediate removal from this clan and can possibly result in action being taken against your account by Jagex Moderators. 2. Treat all other players with civility, respect, and fairness be they members of this clan or other players in the public. Respect is one of the core principles of this clan. All players have equal rights and worth and it is expected that all users treat each other with such. The things you say and do on the internet can hurt someone in real-life. Remember there is a real person behind that screen name. Think before you act. You should not be deliberately provoking other players, and although we're generally nice and want to help you however we can, please don't take advantage of our hospitality by begging for free stuff. Also, please be respectful and supportive of other people's goals and achievements, even if they seem trivial to you. Even the mightiest Completionist Cape-touting master adventurer was a Level 3 once, you know! 3. Do not use offensive language. This refers to swearing as much as it does racism or other grossly inappropriate remarks. We understand RuneScape has a Profanity Filter, but users should not need to rely on such to traverse our channel. Any kind of sweary acronyms or abbreviations are not allowed either. The only mild swearing we allow in the clan chat are 'damn', 'ass', and '****'. Out of respect for others, if any user asks you to tone down your language, please do so. 4. Flaming, Spamming, Trolling, or other disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. This is hopefully self-explanatory. Flaming, spamming, and trolling are simply childish and unwelcome in our chat channel. Also, for the sake of maintaining a positive image of ourselves in the community, please do not go about doing these things (or similar) out in other clan chats, friends chats, public chat, etc. 5. No sexual, racist, religious, political or illegal topics in the clan chat. Discussion of sexual topics or sexuality is not permitted in this clan chat. Racist comments and jokes are childish and disrespectful of other nationalities and ethnic groups. Religious and political topics can descend into heated arguments in a matter of seconds. All discussions promoting illegal activities such as drugs are not allowed. Out of respect for other users and our staff who try to keep order in the clan chat, please take these discussions elsewhere. References to such topics in your display names are not welcome and you may be asked to either change your name or leave. 6. Be respectful of the Clan Staff and follow their instructions. Clan Staff are designated by a Key or a Ship's Wheel next to their name in the clan chat list. If we're asking you to tone down your language, take your conversation to PM, and/or change the topic of discussion, please do so. There's no need for arguing or telling us how we should be doing our jobs. Impersonating staff by changing your name to something very much similar to the one of a RuneHQ staff member is strictly prohibited. We have to run them through the paces again ourselves anyway, so grilling prospective recruits in advance is no help to us. If you have an objection to how a situation was handled, take screenshots of as much of the incident as you can (possibly even your whole chatlog) and send them to Alfawarlord or one of the other Deputies on the RuneHQ Forums. 7. Do NOT place Clan Staff members on your Ignore List, especially when they are giving you instructions. We will remove users from the clan for doing this. Ignoring a staff member can result in you missing important information or instructions and generally comes across as disrespectful and demonstrative of an unwillingness to cooperate with the leadership of this clan. Our staff is hand-selected from mature individuals who then have to sign a permission slip which makes them legally responsible to RuneHQ for their actions. We're not going to intentionally do things to annoy you, so if something we do bothers you, come talk to us instead of adding us to your Ignore List. Be proactive. 8. This clan has a firm anti-gambling, anti-scamming stance. Advertising, participating in, or hosting scams and/or gambling games is STRICTLY prohibited. This includes but is not limited to "Goodie Bag", "Doubling Money", or any other form of a player-run game of chance. This is a very serious offense in this clan as it is both against the Rules of Runescape and it portrays both our clan and the RuneHQ website by extension as dishonest. If you are caught hosting or participating in these dishonest activities, expect to be removed from the clan without warning. 9. This is a primarily English-speaking clan. If a user requests that you stop using a language other than English in the clan chat, please do so out of respect for others. While our users come from a variety of backgrounds and speak many different languages, English is the main language spoken by the majority of our clan. If a user feels that the use of any other language in the clan chat is limiting his or her ability to participate in the conversation, we ask that you take it to another friends or clan chat. 10. RuneHQ Clan Staff reserve the right to interpret and apply these rules on a case-by-case basis. We recognize that every incident is different and occurs in different circumstances. We reserve the right to interpret these rules and take the appropriate action according to the circumstances. If you have read this far "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers." is what you are looking for to tell your recruiter if you want to join the clan. Additional Information: Participation in the Citadel and clan chat are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged activities. If you have a problem or suggestion, please take this up with a clan staff member either in-game or via the PM system on RuneHQ.
